Our History

A Word from CEO Jessica Sills
“Be courageous, and live the life that your heart is guiding you toward.” –Bronnie Ware

My husband (Jeff) and I have made it our mission to serve the families and children within our community. It has been our life's work to give back to the families that have supported us in our efforts to support them. Jeff and I have been working with children, both typically-developing and with special needs, and their families for over 15 years - in a variety of capacities: Special Olympics, Challenger’s baseball, coaching, through our professions (Physical Education Teacher and Speech-Language Pathologist), as well as through volunteering at community events, with sensory-based activities.

This past year - I have been blessed with the most amazing group of dedicated women (Amy Mumbach, JaHanna Kurtz, and Katy Shaul) who have been inspired by what I have started, and have been instrumental in working tirelessly to couple my passion with theirs, taking my dreams to all new levels. In September 2019, we founded our nonprofit: The Collaborative Community Mission. We pride ourselves in working together to build a strong community of caregivers and professionals, in a way that will best support the needs of our children. Our vision is to be recognized as the regional leader for providing integrated experiences through therapeutic and educational programming for families and professionals in our community.

We are passionate about providing therapeutic programs and educational services; health and wellness initiatives, including nutrition, sensory integration, music, movement, and mental health; support groups and workshops; educational classes; volunteer and internship opportunities; and collaboration with other local businesses and groups. CCM’s goal is to make our offerings accessible (free or low cost) to all children, all abilities - provide support to the children and all those involved in working with children - so that the children have the ability for maximum growth potential.
